about us gino meriano is the founder of pink weddings, a gay company launched in january 2002 offering wedding services exclusively to the gay and lesbian community. he has always been headstrong, full of passion and with a firm belief that same-sex relationships should be recognised. gino's mission is to offer service and accurate information to all who visit pink weddings. among his achievements are same-sex ceremonies at britain's national trust properties, the uk's first gay wedding show (nov 2004), gay awareness programmes for the registration service and businesses, bringing commitment ceremonies to 'pride' and campaigning for equal rights in the retail and goods sector, showing that perceptions in companies can be changed. to date gino and his team have arranged over 4000 weddings worldwide. |
 gino meriano and his partner mike became one of the first couples in the uk to hold their civil partnership - in brighton at 8am on the 21st december 2005, a fitting end to a long campaign for equal rights. to date gino has campaigned around the globe for equal rights and same sex couples, including: canada, italy, france, spain, south africa, switzerland, prague, northern and southern ireland plus the united states of america |
